SMITHSON, Mr. Luther "Boss", age 86 of Franklin, TN, December 11, 2010. Retired manager at Union Carbide. Member of Franklin Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents, Charlie & Mary Elizabeth Smithson; son in laws, Gary Stephen Hines & William Charles Holland; brothers, Buford, Edward "Cotton", Raymond "Nig" & Jessie Thomas "Buck" Smithson. Survived by: wife, Margaret Brown Smithson; daughters, Carolyn Holland & Freeda Hines; sisters, Lorene (Henry) Cathey & Elizabeth Roberson; grandchildren, Jana (Brian) Roe, Derek (Brittany) Hines & Lori (Sean) Malloy; great grandchildren, Caroline Moore, Brenna Roe, Nathan, Hailey & Jacob Hines. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2010, Mitch Davis officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be members of Franklin Church of Christ. The family requests if sending flowers, please artificial arrangements only due to medical reasons.
