MYERS, Mr. Martin L. Jr. age 89 of Franklin, TN, August 23, 2010. Served in the U.S. Navy, 1939-1947 (MM1c); U.S. Army, 1948-1949 (SFC); U.S. Air Force, 1949-1962 (Msgt); USAF Civil Service employee, 1963-1968; Ernst & Ernst Accounting Firm, 1968-1974; Life & Casualty / American General Insurance, 1947-1989; self-employed, 1990-2001. He was a member of the Berry's Chapel Church of Christ most of his lifetime, serving as a deacon and elder. Survived by wife of 63 years, Virginia "Jenny" Arnold Myers; son, Martin L. (Dianne) Myers, III of Franklin, TN; daughter, Deborah Anne Myers (Don) Boyd of Nashville, TN; sister, Margaret Myers Westbrooks of Franklin, TN; granddaughters, Jennifer Anne Boyd (Jud) Baldock of Nashville, TN, Julie Alicia Boyd (Peter) Damp of Nashville, TN, Cortney Leigh Myers (Brandon) Oglesby of Nashville, TN & Lauren Elizabeth Myers of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, Myers Anne Baldock, Elizabeth Boyd Baldock, Anna Claire Damp & Anders Boyd Damp all of Nashville, TN; several nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00AM Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Brother Andy Baker officiating. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery with Military honors. Military will serve as active pallbearers. Elders & Deacons of the Berry's Chapel Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Berry's Chapel Building Fund or Inner City Ministry of Nashville .
