Mr. Maurice Cayton

Mr. Maurice "Moe" Cayton, age 64, of Spring Hill, TN, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 , at home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Cayton worked for many years in management and retail sales at Gordon's & Jared Jewelers. Maurice was a loving husband, father, grandfather & friend. After retirement he enjoyed doing woodcraft projects, and loved teaching the grandchildren creativity and how to use all the tools in his workshop. Preceded in death by his parents, Newton H. & Mary L. Waller Cayton; brother, Donald B. Cayton and father & mother in law, Claude & Clarice Robinson. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Claudette Cayton of Spring Hill, TN; son, Douglas M. Cayton of Columbia, TN; daughter, Leslie A. (Daniel W.) Bass of Spring Hill, TN; sisters, Lydia Sue Wells & Mary Frances Butler of Pulaski, TN; grandchildren, Shannon (David) Rivero, Amber Cayton, Britton Cornell, Cayton & Davin Bass, Ashley Sams & Natasha Flowers; great grandchild, Aeris Rivero and special friend, Angela Johnston of Spring Hill, TN. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. David Sawyer officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service. Interment in Spring Hill Memorial Park.
