MORPHIS, Mr. Melvin Ray, age 72 of Murfreesboro, TN died December 28, 2012. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Alvis & Irene Tallart Morphis; brothers, Homer, Joe & Charles Morphis; sister, Martha Ann Vice. Survived by sons, Troy (Kim) Morphis of White Bluff, TN, Paul (Hayley) Mophis of Franklin, TN, Emmett (Lee) Morphis of Greensboro, NC & Jody (Ann Marsh) Morphis of Greensboro, NC; daughter, Melinda (Thomas) Spiller of Spring Hill, TN; brother, Q.T. Morphis of Ringold, GA; wife & mother of his children, Linda Morphis of Greensboro, NC; thirteen grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted 4:30PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Thomas Spiller officiating. Memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
