Mr. Meredith Hunter

HUNTER, Mr. Meredith Lynn, age 45 was born January 5, 1968 in Kiowa, Kansas to Clifford and Ona (Myers) Hunter. He went home to his heavenly Father March 4, 2013 in Franklin, Tennessee as a result of surgery complications. He graduated from South Barber High School in 1986 and received his bachelors degree from Kansas State University in 1991. Following graduation, he went to work for Chrysler Corporation. Later he worked for Volkswagen, and finally moved to Franklin to work for Nissan in 2006. Meredith came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1973. He was faithful to his local church in the several places he lived, and gave witness to his faith again in recent days. He loved his church family and friends and was an "adopted uncle" to many besides his own nieces and nephews. He loved to send cards to those special to him. In 2011 he met the love of his life, Mira Manzano, marrying her on his 45th birthday, January 5, 2013. They had two very happy months together. Meredith was preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant sister, Marcy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mira; his parents Clifford and Ona Hunter of Attica, KS; siblings Mitch (Mary Lou) of Idabel, OK; Mica (Brian) Balster of Platte, SD; and Milford (Pennie) Hunter of Pontiac, IL; mother-in-law Basilia Manzano of the Philippines; siblings Marissa (Ricky) Gubat of Guam; Marlon Manzano, the Philippines; Monina (Danny) Collera of Qatar; Jeffrey Manzano of Qatar, 9 nieces, 5 nephews, great nieces and nephews, other extended family and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church of Franklin, 4526 South Carothers Rd. Franklin, TN 37064. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30PM Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hazelton, KS. Active pallbearers: Danny Briley, Dale Baker, Rick Caserta, Jeff Chambers, Justin & Matthew Hunter. Honorary pallbearers: Earl Young & Stephen Mee.
