Mr. Nigel Stone

Mr. Nigel Ivan Stone, age 80, of Franklin, TN died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Williamson Medical Center. Mr. Stone was born in Willesden, England. Member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. He was a lay minister with Grace Reform Baptist Church in Merrick, NY. He was an accomplished poet and was published in an Anthology of Literature. He was known for his dramatic public and recorded Bible reading and radio and TV voiceovers. He was a recipient of awards for volunteer work in various nursing homes. Preceded in death by parents, David and Eva Raitz Stone; sister, Sylvia Forrest. Survived by: wife of 55 years, Barbara Stone; son, Jonathan (Mary) Stone; sister, Joy Ballin; grandchildren, Aleksandra & Evan Dmitri Stone; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Garrison United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Bob Miller. Memorials may be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 2206, Brentwood, TN 37024-9885.
