Mr. Ralph Volpe

Ralph C. Volpe, age 89 of Brentwood, TN, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Born in Aliquippa, PA to Angelo and Loretta Cervi Volpe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grand-daughter, Lauren O'Saile. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Louise (Cosentino) Volpe, sons Richard G. (Janet) of Littleton, CO, Ronald A. of Nashville, TN, and Ralph P. (Alexis) of Johns Creek, GA; daughter Mary V. O'Saile (Darrell) of Hendersonville, TN; grandsons Ryan and Christian O'Saile both of Hendersonville, TN and John Volpe of Littleton, CO; and great-granddaughter, Alaura O'Saile; brother Robert (Grace) Volpe of Toledo, OH; sisters Theresa Trotta and Edith (Albert) Valo all of Aliquippa, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Veteran of World War II with the Army Air Corps, 816th Chemical Company - Air Operations, with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. Employed for 46 years with the National Life & Accident Insurance Co. and American General Life Insurance, Co. where he started as an agent and retired as a Regional Vice President. Active member, for the past 44 years, at St. Philip Catholic Church, Franklin, TN where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Usher. Also, member of the Men's Club, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion. Visitation 4-7PM Friday and one hour prior to the service at the church. Rosary service held at 7:00PM Friday. A funeral mass will be held 10:00AM Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Father Tran Celebrant. Burial Calvary Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Honorary Pallbearers: Serra Club, The Romeo Club, Jack Gerbic and Ed Schoenberger.
