Mr. Ransom Brent

BRENT, Sr., Ransom Joseph (Joe)- Age 84 of Franklin, TN and Bonita Springs, FL passed on October 8, 2012, in Franklin, TN, with his loving wife of 58 years and family by his side. Born October 2, 1928, in Nashville, TN, he was a member of the United States Air Force serving a tour in Japan during WWII and a banker for 41 years before retiring from Bank of America formerly known as Williamson County Bank as an Executive Vice-President. Also, an avid golfer and historian. Preceded in death by his parents, Louise Dudley Hassell and Henderson Cook Brent, Step-Father Charles Berry Hassell, and infant daughter, Catherine Leslie Brent. Survived by his wife, Catherine Hardison Brent, sons Ransom Joseph Brent, Jr., Craig (Susan) Brent, grandchildren Caroline Brent, and Alex Brent all of Franklin, TN, and sister Gloria Brent Ormes of Raleigh, NC. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Williamson Memorial, Franklin, TN. There will be a memorial service Friday, October 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, Myron Keith and Jim Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN or Avalon Hospice of Nashville, TN.
