Mr. Richard Boddy

Mr. Richard William Boddy, age 78, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, in Spring Hill, TN. Survived by: wife of 59 years, Lois Boddy; children; Douglas (Donna) Boddy, Overland Park, KS; Mark (Carol) Boddy, Franklin, TN; Diane (Dale) Hollister, Lowell, MI; and Debbie (Don) Embury, Burton, MI; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers Robert and Dale Boddy, Jacksonville, FL and sister, Sharon (Lee) Harrison, Orange Park, FL. Preceded in death by sister, Lois Boddy and parents, Eleanor and Ross Boddy. Born in Sanilac County, MI, he worked for General Motors in Flint, MI, for thirty-six years before retiring. He also served as a volunteer fireman with the Yale and Brockway Fire Department for many years. His hobbies were photography, woodworking, and traveling. After retiring, he and his wife moved to McAllen, TX, where they lived for twenty years. They moved to Spring Hill, TN, in November 2011, to be closer to family. He attended the Church at Station Hill since moving to Spring Hill. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Jay Strother officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Church at Station Hill Building Fund, P.O. Box 159, Thompson Station, TN or to WillowBrook Hospice, 381 Riverside Dr., Suite 440, Franklin, TN. 37064.
