Mr. Robert Couch

COUCH, Mr. Robert A. "Bob", age 82 of Franklin, TN went to be with the Lord, June 3, 2013. Born in Winfield, AL to Arthur & Lydia Smith Couch, the youngest of ten children. Bob graduated from Howard College (now Samford) in Birmingham, AL in 1955 and Southern Baptist Theoogical Seminary in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Pastored churches in AL, KY, PA & TN. Served the Home Mission Board (North American Mission Board) in the Northeast starting new churches; a specialist for the Madison Baptist Association in Huntsville, AL; Alabama Baptist Convention in the Sunday School Department; and retired after 16 years at the Baptist Sunday School Board (Lifeway) where he received the Career of Excellence Award. Survived by: wife of 61 years, Martha Thomas Couch; son, Steve (Debbie) Couch; daughter, Cheryl Baker; grandchildren, Ryan, Victoria and Spencer Couch; sisters, Martha Hall & Ophelia Patterson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2013 at ClearView Baptist Church. Private family burial will be conducted in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
