ORMES, Mr. Robert Bond, age 86, passed away on July 25, 2012.
Robert was born in Franklin, Tennessee on April 18, 1926 to the late Charles William Ormes and Lucille Bond. A graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin, Tennessee on August 6, 2012 at 11:00AM. Robert married his Franklin High School sweetheart, Gloria Brent. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a Boy Scout leader for his son and grandsons for more than 35 years. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with Honors in Electrical Engineering in Nashville, TN in 1949. Robert was employed with IBM as an electrical engineer for his whole work career and moved 16 times during his tenure. Robert was an active member of the Raleigh Church of Christ. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria, and his two children Brent and Susan, and grand children and great grandchildren.
