Mr. Robert Sillaman

August 13, 1922 — November 1, 2012

SILLAMAN, Mr. Robert Chalmers, age 90 of Franklin, TN. Retired after over 40 years as a New York based Flight Engineer for American Airlines, including flying missions to Europe and Africa with Air Transport Command of the Army Air Corps during WWII. Born in Bradenville, PA, graduated from Derry Township High School, PA and Pittsburg Institute of Aeronautics, was a member of the Flight Engineers International Assn. and the Golden Wings Assn. He had enjoyed his retirement here in Franklin, Golfing, traveling, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy and daughter Cheryl Ann Moffet. Survived by son, Richard (Susan) Sillaman of Riverside, CA; son in law, John (Roberta) Moffet of Wichita Falls, TX; grandchildren, Taylor Moffet, Matthew & Joseph Sillaman. Graveside services will be held 10:00AM Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors, Jim Taylor officiating.
