March 27, 1911 — July 18, 2010

COOK, Roy Harry, 99, of Old Hickory and Nashville on July 18, 2010. Survived by his wife of 71 years Margaret Frances Martin Cook and sons Jim (Glenna Roberts) Cook and Paul (Michael McKee) Cook; Three grandchildren Jimmie Lynn (John) Dominguez, Crystal McKee, and Casey (Melissa Galloway) Cook; Six great grandchildren Chad Dominguez, Amanda (Adam) Leeth, Holly and Hope McKee, Alaina and Drew Cook. He is also survived by a large extended family and many friends. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, he was a long time member of Hermitage United Methodist Church, an avid woodworker, proprietor of Martin's Grocery in Old Hickory for many years and retired as a member of the TDOT. Visitation will be at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday. A celebration of his life will be held at Hermitage United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 22, 2010 with visitation at 10 am and the service at 11 am. Pastors Allen Black and Garry Speich will officiate. Pallbearers are: Casey Cook, John Dominguez, Chad Dominguez, Adam Leeth, Larry Martin, Paul McKinney, Jerry Dale and Kevin Lester. Burial at Williamson County Memorial Gardens will follow at 2:30 pm. The family extends its sincerest gratitude to all of the caregivers of NHC Franklin and CARIS who have assisted him during the past 2 years.
