Mr. Roy Murdoch

MURDOCH, Mr. Roy, age 80, Fairview, TN. May 29, 2010. Survived by Patricia, wife of 58 years; sons, Craig (Diane) and Scott; daughters, Kim (Neil) Smith and Shari (Tom) Johnson; as well as 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brother, James of Kenmore, NY; sister, Sarah of Lockport, NY; brothers-in-law, George Richard (Sandra) Roslund of Lockport, NY and Richard Holtz of Gallatin, TN and many loved nieces and nephews. Roy so loved his family and shared his love of children on mission trips (BUMC) and in Sunday School (BUMC and Epworth) and in coaching and umpiring boys baseball in the Brentwood Civitan League. Hockey was his favorite sport having once played and then coached boys in the Buffalo, NY area. He served in the Marine Corps from 1952-1954. In Fairview neighborhoods where he most recently lived and rode his scooter, he became great friends with all the children there. Grandsons will be his pallbearers. Visitation from 4-8PM on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 and also one hour prior to the service at 11AM on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. William Miller officiating.
