REED, Mr. Roy Elvis, age 65 of Franklin, TN, November 7, 2011. Dedicated employee of Franklin First United Methodist Church since 1982. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He will be sadly missed. Faithful servant to His Lord and Savior. Preceded in death by parents, John Elvis and Virginia Little Reed and sister, Elizabeth Rose Barker. Survived by: wife, Ruth Talley Reed; daughters, Jennifer Reed (Nathan) Foster & Valerie Reed; grandchildren, John Nathan, Jessica Hope & Matthew Charles Foster; brother in law, Jerry Barker; sister in laws, Susan (James) Walker, Bettie Parsley & Elissa Childress and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, November 10, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to service at Franklin First United Methodist Church, Dr. Lynn Hill & Rev. Vona Wilson officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jerry & Michael Barker, Wayne & Gary Potts, Brian & Russell Parsley. Honorary pallbearers will be Staff of Franklin First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Franklin First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
