SMITHSON, Mr. Roy Edward "Duke", age 92, January 10, 2010, grew up in the Ash Hill Community and longtime resident of Cross Keys Community. Member of Peytonsville Baptist Church. Preceded in death by wife, Louella Hartley Smithson, grandsons, George Smithson, Jr. & Troy Edward Smithson & several brothers & sisters. Survived by: sons, George (Nancy) Smithson & Jerry (Penny) Smithson; daughter, Judy Deason (Fred) Haley; brother, Dorris "Putt" (Margaret) Smithson; sisters, Rebecca "Sis" Haskins & Jimmie Robinson; seven grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren & eleven great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Mike Gibson & Bro. Bobby Sadler officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, David, Jerry Lee, Mark & Chad Deason, Houston Bagsby & Michael Smithson.
