Mr. Russell Ohlson

June 15, 1928 — November 20, 2013

OHLSON, Mr. Russell O., age 85 of Franklin, TN, November 20, 2013. Formerly of Arrington, most recently he was a resident of Belevedere Commons. Russ grew up in the state of Washington and graduated from Washington State University, receiving a degree in electrical engineering. After college, he served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Signal Corp and was based at White Sands Proving Grounds, New Mexico testing missiles. In business, he enjoyed a long and rewarding career working as an electrical engineer for Square D Company. Traveling extensively throughout his career, he worked in the United States, Europe, China, and Indonesia. After retiring in 1988, he taught at Nashville Tech where he chaired the E.E. Dept. He was a member of Crievewood United Methodist Church. He is survived by: son, Stuart B. Ohlson; brother, Herb (Carol) Ohlson; nieces, Karen Ogden & Jenean Hughes and special friend, Jean Molasy. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Monday, November 25, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 615-794-2289, www.williamsonmemorial.com. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Rev. Peter Van Eys officiate. Interment will be at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be The Builders Sunday School Class. Memorials may be made to Crievewood United Methodist Church Building Fund.
