TOWNSEND, Mrs. Betty Lou Luckey, age 70 of Franklin, TN, January 26, 2010; She was a wonderful mom who loved to entertain, garden and spend time with her grandchildren; in her later years, she became a competitive Mahjong player; member of the New Comers Club in Williamson County; she worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer. Born in Union City, TN. Preceded in death by husband of 47 years, Phillip M. Townsend; brothers, Michael & Joe Pat Luckey. Survived by son, Wilson (Marlaina) Townsend of Concord, NH; daughters, Dr. Phyllis Townsend & husband William Moore of Brentwood, TN & Elizabeth Townsend & husband Ben Klima Townsend of Alexandria, VA; mother, Elizabeth Luckey of Jackson, TN; brother, David Luckey of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Charlotte & Alice Moore, Jules & Olivia Townsend & Holden Klima; numerous nieces & nephews; she also leaves special friends that were dear to her, Wayne Stepanaukas & Lori Santon and their daughter, Ella. A Celebration of her life will be held at the home of her daughter, Dr. Phyllis Townsend Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 12:00PM -3:00PM at 8221 Wikle Rd. East, Brentwood, TN 37027.
