Mrs. Carolyn Allred-Winnett

December 27, 1943 — July 3, 2011

Mrs. Carolyn Ruth Allred-Winnett, age 67, of Spring Hill, TN, July 3, 2011. A math teacher for 42 years at Columbia State Community College, where she served on multiple teams, committees, and on the Foundation, and also received the Foundation's Distinguished Faculty Award. Member of the DAR Society, as well as a long time member of the Middle Tennessee Studebaker Driver's Club for which she served as secretary. Participated in activities with a close circle of high school friends, known as "The Gang". Favorite hobby was researching family genealogy and spending time with her cats, which she considered family. Member of First Baptist Church in Gallatin, TN, and attended Pleasant Heights Baptist Church in Columbia, TN. Preceded in death by her father, William Ralph Allred. Survived by her husband of 31 years, Glenn T. Winnett and daughter, Terry Ruth (Jeremy) Winnett Zimmer both of Spring Hill, TN; mother, Mildred Ruth Allred of Gallatin, TN. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church, 2712 Trotwood Ave., Columbia, TN, Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum, Spring Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Middle Tennessee Studebaker Drivers Club, Columbia State Faculty and Staff, past and present, and "The Gang". Memorials may be made to the Vanderbilt SICU Sunshine Fund, 1211 Medical Center Drive, Nashville, TN 37232. Visitation with the family will be 12 Noon to 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 5, 3011 at the church.
