SHIPLEY, Mrs. Charla Frances, age 65 of Franklin, TN, June 15, 2010. Graduate of Franklin High School; received her BS Degree from Lipscomb University and Masters Degree from Murray State University; Director of Head Start & worked with pre-school children for 40 years; she was an advocate traveling to make presentations twice to the U.S. Congress Members; she was a graphic designer for children's educational material; devoted daughter who cared for her parents during both their illnesses; faithful Christian where she was a member of Concord Rd. Church of Christ & active with missions and various groups. Preceded in death by parents, Charlie Benton Brooks & Sallie Cleo Vaughn Shipley; brother, Dr. Ray Shipley. Survived by sister, loving family members and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 10:00AM Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Nathanial Grimes, Gary Finley & Dwayne Stubblefield officiating. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Church friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders of Concord Rd. Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to Concord Rd.
