Mrs. Clara Neal

Mrs. Clara Cornelia Stephens Neal, age 83, of Spring Hill, TN/Duplex Community, passed away September 28, 2013 at The Arbors of Willow Springs. Born and raised in Williamson County, Mrs. Neal loved farming and gardening, and was active in the Flat Creek Community Center. Preceded in death by her parents, Leslie & Shirley Pratt Stephens; husband, James H. "Pickle" Neal; daughter, Kathy Neal; brothers, Gene, James K. "Corkie" Stephens and sister, Carolyn Stephens Ruth. Survived by her son, Ron (Connie) Neal of Columbia, TN; daughter, Nancy Neal (Tommy) Lane of Spring Hill, TN; brother, Leonard (Geneva) Stephens of Spring Hill, TN; grandchildren, Jeb (Cathy) Neal of Knoxville, TN and Mary Leslie (Heath) Racine of Columbus, IN; great granddaughter, Kaleigh Racine and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, September 30, 2013 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Pastor Ward Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Hurt Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Len Stephens, Kenneth Stephens, Todd Ruth, Andy Miller, Mike Edgett and Eddie Stanford. Honorary pallbearers, John & Sue Saucier, Fred & Wilma Thompson, Steve Pitts, J. E. Martin, Norman Martin, Clyde Stephens, Roy Ruth, Jimmy Slaughter and Friends from the Flat Creek Community Center. Memorials may be made to the Mary Anna McGaw Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Columbia State Community College Foundation.
