Mrs. Evelyn Kriebel
February 21, 1923 — December 29, 2013
Evelyn Landes Springer Kriebel, wife of Robert Bergey Kriebel and daughter of Clifford and Mary Ellen Springer, all deceased, fell asleep on December 29, 2013. She was 90 years old.
Mrs. Kriebel graduated from Souderton (PA) High School and Juniata College, Huntington, PA. She taught public school music at all levels for her 30-year career in the Souderton Area (Montgomery County) and Pennridge (Bucks County, PA) School Districts and retired in 1985.
She was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron and was a former President of the Souderton-Telford Jr. Women's Club. After retiring, Mrs. Kriebel volunteered at Grandview Hospital until she and her husband moved to their retirement home in Loganton, Clinton County, PA. Mrs. Kriebel and her husband had the distinction of visiting all 50 states as well as many European countries.
Evelyn has lived in Franklin, TN for the past 15 years and was a member of Franklin First United Franklin Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
She will be very much missed by her three children - Carol Ann Kell of Philadelphia PA, Dr. Robert Kriebel and his wife, Patricia of Franklin TN and Marcia Brecker and her husband Steve of Williamsburg, VA. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Franklin First United Methodist Church, Franklin, TN on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 3pm. Visitation will be at the church from 1:30PM-3PM preceding the service.
