SOBERY, Evelyn passed away February 10, 2010. She was born in London, England in 1920, and during WWII served in the RAF. Following her service she moved to the US, where with gentle hands and twinkling eyes she became the loving wife of Rudolph H. Sobery who preceded her in death; a cherished mother of sons, Stephen Sobery, deceased, Donald James (Leah) Sobery, Atlanta, GA & Alan Brett (Dang) Sobery, Bloomington, IL; and daughter, Jacqueline (Jack) Bledsoe, Brentwood, TN; and beloved grandmother of five, Kate, Samuel & Neil Bledsoe, and Natalia & Nathaniel Sobery. She enjoyed teaching knitting and rug hooking, and attending church. She treasured her friends and family. She will be badly missed. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Church of the Good Shepherd in Brentwood TN, with visitation following service, Rev. Randy Dunnavant officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Community House, 5601 New York Ave., Nashville, TN 37209.
