Mrs. Gertha Akin

AKIN, Mrs. Gertha P. "Mollie", of Thompson's Station, TN died November 8, 2013. Born in Hickman County, TN to the late Lon D. & Hattie Barnhill Sullivan. She retired from Lasko as a quality control inspector. Member of Thompson's Station Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, Marion Akin and several brothers and sisters. Survived by son, Gregory Akin of Thompson's Station, TN; sister, Wilma Sullivan of Franklin, TN; special nieces, Deborah Christiansen & Cheryl Buhr and a host of loving nieces & nephews; special caregiver, Jo Ellen VanCarnant. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00AM Monday, November 11, 2013 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mike Williams officiating. Memorials may be made to Thompson's Station Church of Christ, Burwood Church of Christ or to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Grace Healthcare.
