Mrs. Janice Martin

MARTIN, Mrs. Janice L. Bruce, age 60 went to be with the Lord Jesus on September 6, 2011. Janice was born March 16, 1951 in Franklin, TN to Godly parents, John and Jackie Bruce. On December 4, 1969 she married the love of her life, Wicky Martin, who departed to be with Christ August 17, 2005. They spent most of their married life in Franklin raising their beloved sons, Chip and Johnny. Janice worked as a bookkeeper serving several businesses in middle Tennessee. She was a devout disciple of Jesus Christ and a greatly loved member of the Williamson County Church. Janice's great passion was singing and she was an active member of Nashville's TuneTown Show Chorus. Though suffering from ill health most of her adult life, she exuded only joy and grace to all those who were blessed to know her. Her compassionate heart, beautiful voice, and joyful spirit will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by husband, Wicky Martin and father, John A. Bruce. Survived by sons, Chip (Laurel) Martin of Franklin, TN and Johnny (Melissa) Martin of Spring Hill, TN; mother, Jackie Bruce of Franklin, TN; brother, Terry Bruce of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Jean (Gilbert) Griggs of Santa Fe, TN; granddaughter, Meg Bella-Grace Martin and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00PM Friday, September 9, 2011 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Mike Rosser officiating. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers: Ted Buselmeier, Heath Holt, Randy Roberts, Brett Bindl, Brandon Cartwright and Paul Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers: Jeff Williams, Jeff Dickson, Tim Barker, Terry, Austin & Troy Bruce, Cody Pack, Tad Griggs, Darrell Barker, Hope Martin Reddin and Brent Martin Bennett.
