Mrs. Joan Reifschneider

REIFSCHNEIDER, Mrs. Joan Catherine, age 76 of Franklin, TN, passed away December 13, 2012 after a long illness. Joan was born April 6, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to the late Thomas and Catherine Callen. Joan was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, read, and travel. She was known wherever she went as a gracious host with a kind and generous spirit. She was active over the years in the PTA, Republican Women's Council of Orange County, CA, Children's Museum at La Habra, CA, Junior Women's League and various other historical associations. She was preceded in death by son, David Darrel Reifschneider. Joan is survived by her husband of 57 years, Darrel Edward Reifschneider of Franklin, TN; son, Dale Thomas Reifschneider (Larney Wilson) of Nashville, TN; daughter, Jill Ann (Neil) Johnston of Franklin, TN; sister, Sally Fuller (Bill) of Buena Park, CA; grandchildren, Brandon Scott (Keri), Chad Thomas & Laurel Ann Kozlowski of Nashville, TN and great granddaughter, Lia Paige Kozlowski, along with many nieces and nephews. The family's heartfelt gratitude goes out to the all the staff at NHC Place in Franklin, TN and also Caris Hospice for their loving care and support of Joan and her family. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 904 Murfreesboro Rd. Franklin, TN, Pastor Michael Lippord officiating. Grandsons and Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4-7PM Monday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations and memorials may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church Building Fund or Caris Hospice.
