November 10, 1939 — March 5, 2012

MURPHY, Mrs. Judy Mason, age 72 of Franklin, TN, March 5, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Nashville, the only child of Floyd and Barbara Mason, deceased. Graduate of East High School and Martin Methodist College, she was an artist at Harvey's Department Store until 1968. On June 9, 1962 she married her college sweetheart, Walt. In 1976 they built one of the first homes in Cottonwood. A long time member of Bethlehem Methodist Church and a lover of flowers, she owned a wedding florist company until her health caused her to retire. In addition to her husband, Walt, she is survived by son, Mason (Laurie) Murphy; daughter, Amy Murphy; son, Eric Murphy and her only grandchild, Patrick. The family wishes to thank the many wonderful and caring doctors and nurses at Williamson Medical Center, and the loving caregivers at NHC for their support during this time of need. Additionally they would like to thank their many friends who have lifted them up with prayers and other acts of kindness. Visitation will be from 1-3PM Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 3:00PM conducted by Rev. Carson Fraser, Rev. David Bradley & Chaplain Gwen Pullen. A private burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
