Mrs. Julia Hannas

Mrs. Julia Webster Hannas, age 94, Thompson's Station, passed away February 2, 2012. Born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Harry C. and Valla Hope Wycoff Carroll. She was a retired elementary school librarian for the Gower School District in Illinois, a former member of Friends of the Spring Hill Library and Volunteer Story Teller for Presbyterian Day School. She was a member of Thompson's Station United Methodist Church, active in United Methodist Women, Bethesda FCE, Better Reads Book Club and Harpeth Valley Story Tellers. Preceded in death by sister, Hope Carroll Knabe. Survived by husband, Warren F. Hannas; sons, Robert Y. Bair and Dr. George O. Bair; daughters, Pamela Hope Bair, Jeannette Marian Bair, Carol Ann Bair (Jon) Wirsz and Barbara Ann Hannas (Gene) Johnson; step-son, Stuart A. Hannas; and brother, Harry C. Carroll, Jr. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Thompson Station United Methodist Church, 1517 Thompson Station Rd. W., Thompson's Station, TN 37179.
