Mrs. Lennice Smithson

SMITHSON, Mrs. Lennice P., age 84. December 25, 2012. A native of Williamson County, retired from City of Franklin, where she was the secretary to the Board of Mayor and Alderman for 45 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Poynor; brothers, William and James; sister, Allene. Survived by husband of 52 years, James "Jim" Smithson; nieces, Brenda Clarkson, Dora Poynor and Lese Piper of Franklin; nephews, Douglas Poynor, Calvin Poynor, Michael Poynor and Keith Poynor of Franklin; sisters-in-law, Ms. Irene Poynor of Franklin, Sara Smithson of College Grove, Martha Alexander of Murfreesboro, Midge Valone of Las Vegas and Dotti Zaino of Farmington Hills, MI; other family members include great nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Royce Johns and Jay Johnson.
