Mrs. Louise McRae

February 5, 1913 — December 3, 2013

Mrs. Louise Ann Klingler McRae, age 100, passed away on December 3, 2013. She was born February 5, 1913 in St. Louis Missouri, where she lived most of her life. She also lived in Crestwood, MO, and more recently her permanent address was in Ormand Beach, FL.
Shortly after Louise graduated from Cleveland High School she became the superintendent's secretary for the St. Louis School System. This changed when she married a young physician, Paul F. McRae. The list of things she has done puts her in the class of extraordinary ladies, who experienced the great depression and other significant events of the last 100 years. There are many good memories her children and great grandchildren revere. She and husband Paul were well traveled and had many friends. She was gifted in her knowledge of gardening and accounting. Louise served as a deaconess in the Southhampton Presbyterian Church. She admitted she was something of a "tomboy" in her youth. Louise was a pianist and an artist. She was a Brownie and Cub Scout leader. She was very patriotic. She was a terrific cook, seamstress and loving mother to her two children, Louise and Michael, and along with other ladies of the Southampton Church was very generous in helping those in need.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Michael & Anna Pollack Klingler; her husband, Dr. Paul Francis McRae to whom she was happily married 67 years. Survived by her daughter, Louise Ann McRae Gaut; son, Michael M. McRae; grandchildren, Robert Paul McRae, Katie McRae Evans, Laura Gaut Smith, Trudy Gaut and Robert Stuart Gaut; great grandchildren, Ella & Annabelle Gaut, Olivia McRae, Andrew & Christian Lattimer; one niece & several nephews in Missouri.
A Memorial Service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, December 9, 2013 at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, Rev. David Sawyer officiating.
