Mrs. Marilyn Hunter

April 19, 1935 — August 1, 2013

HUNTER, Mrs. Marilyn Virginia Short, age 78 of Franklin, TN passed away at home on Thursday, August 1, 2013. Born April 19, 1935, she was the daughter of Judge James and Bonnie Short and lived in Williamson County all her life. She was married for 60 years to Floyd Hunter, who survives her. Her son Jeff died in June 2013. She is survived by daughter, Allyson (John) Ordung of Franklin; sons, Chris (Vicky) Hunter of Columbia, TN & Farley (Ron) Hunter of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Sam, Grace & Caleb Ordung and Dustin & Alex Hunter. She is also survived by sisters, Barbara Haskew of Chattanooga and Joan Short of New York. Virginia was an excellent student, PTA member, Girl Scout Leader, business woman and good friend. Above all she loved her husband, children and grandchildren and we will miss her. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family & Friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
