Mrs. Martha Green

Mrs. Martha Baird Green, age 87, November 10, 2013. Graduate of the high school and college departments of Ward Belmont School. Member of Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church, the Junior League of Nashville and various historical societies. Her peace was found in her deep & abiding faith. Her greatness joy was in her family. She delighted in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, A.J. and Mary Book Baird, husband, Walter R. Green, daughter, Mary Green Sweeney & daughter in law, Deborah Eckel Green. Survived by: daughter, Martha Green White Ireland; sons, Walter R. Green, Jr. & Ewing Coleman "Bo" Green; grandchildren, Mark R. (Sue) White, William Britton (Jill) White, Victoria (Ryan) Tabor, Katherine (Michael) Stough, Elizabeth (Gregory) Sanford, John Sweeney, Richard (Carolyn) Sweeney, Rachel (Timothy) Bruno, Ewing Coleman (Erica) Green, Jr. & Britton Curtis Green; sixteen great grandchildren & sister, Betty Graham. Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church, Sally Hughes & Pat McGeachy officiating with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church or Cumberland Heights Foundation. Special thanks to the loving care of Belmont Village and Dr. Clyde Heflin.
