Mrs. Mary Phares

Mrs. Mary Jean Phares, age 76, of Columbia, TN, passed away February 19, 2013, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Jean was employed for 30 years as a buyer at Burt's Dress Shop in Columbia. Preceded in death by her parents, Claude E. & Pearl Scarbrough Sneed. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerry E. Phares; sons, James Eugene (Lisa) Phares and Jerry Allyn (Julia) Phares; brother, Claude E. Sneed, Jr.; grandchildren, Holly Ann Phares and Lindsey Carol Phares; niece, Brenda Allen. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, February 22, 2013 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Mark Proctor officiating. Interment in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Volunteer Class of Highland Park Baptist Church and her "Fishing Buddies" at Normandy Lake.
