Mrs. Nellie Gatlin

GATLIN, Nellie "Sue", age 95 of Franklin, TN, January 4, 2014. Sue served our country in the US Navy during WWII breaking German Code while stationed in Washington, DC. She was a Teacher for over 40 years and also had a love for traveling, adventure and life. Sue is preceded in death by her husband Homer Gatlin; daughter, Connie Turvy and other brothers and sisters. Survived by daughter, Jeanne Gatlin; grandchildren, Chris (Andrea) Turvy, Summer (Keith) Turvy Sheldon and Erica Douglass; great grandchildren, Jackson and Cailyn Turvy. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Franklin First United Methodist Church, Dr. Lynn Hill officiating. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends to serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of FUMC, UMW Lydia Circle. Memorials may be made to the FUMC United Methodist Women or Missions; or Honor Flight Network.
