TAYLOR, Mrs. Willie Ruth Veach, age 88 of the Bethesda Community passed away March 14, 2014. She was a longtime resident of Bethesda and member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and the BUMC Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by her parents, Dennis & Cora Mae Sears Veach; husband of 30 years, Walter Thomas Taylor; infant child; brother, Robert Veach; sisters, Sue Tomlin & Josephine Smithson. Survived by daughters, Ruth Elaine (Gene) Holt, Jennie Lee (Richard) King and Sandra Kaye (Derrick) McCollum; sisters, Jean Ann Watkins and Martha (Bobby) Frost; grandchildren, Gina (Holt) Johnson, Tina (Greg) Simmons, Lisa (Greg) Wright, Bryan (Donya) King, Beth (Scottie) McGee, Ashley McCollum, Kristin (Clint) Riggs and Taylor McCollum; great-grandchildren, Luke, Gage & Kendell Gorman, Jackson & Seth Wright, Samantha & Sarah King, Justin McMillan & Baily McGee and Marshall Riggs; Special friend and caregiver, Linda Lawson. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30PM Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, David Spencer & Tom Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bryan King, Scottie McGee, Taylor McCollum, Clint Riggs, Greg Wright, Troy Frost, Bobby Frost and John "Bubba" Ham, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the BUMC Willing Workers Sunday School Class, William & Pat Marlin, Billy & Katie Giles and Jessie Wray.
