Mr. Steven Sherry

Mr. Steven M. "Steve" Sherry, age 44 of Columbia, TN died unexpectedly Saturday, December 12, 2009. He was born in North Tarrytown, NY. He was an electrician for General Motors Corporation in Spring Hill, TN and a member of the United Auto Workers Local No. 1853. He had been a volunteer fireman in Cragsmoor, NY and was an avid collector and painter of military soldiers. He was of the Methodist faith. Steve's greatest pleasure in life was supporting his children's different activities. He especially loved the many years he coached his son's tee ball, farm league and summer ball teams, coaching several of the teams to first place finishes. Survivors include: wife, Maryellen Hogan Sherry; son, Wyatt P. Sherry; daughter, Lea M. Sherry all of Columbia, TN; parents, Martin & Dora Lee Sherry of Defiance, OH; maternal grandmother, Jalie Cramer of Paulding, OH; brother & sister in law, Ron & Cheryl Sherry; nephew, Ronnie Sherry and niece, Jalie Sherry of Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be conducted 5:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Ward Jones officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM prior to the service.
