Mrs. Tina Poston

POSTON, Tina Jandrell, 73, of Nolensville, passed away August 23 after a courageous year-long battle with bile duct cancer. Preceded in death by parents Muriel and Percy Venables and sister Lorna. Originally from Brentwood, England, Tina moved with her family to Brentwood, TN in 1980. She worked for LM Berry (Yellow Pages) and following retirement, worked with special needs children in Williamson County Schools, mostly in Nolensville Elementary. Her passion for kids was never more evident than her love for her children, grandchildren and new great granddaughter. Her love of travel took her to England, France, Switzerland, Italy, South Africa, Mozambique, Australia, New Zealand and throughout the US. She became a US citizen in 2008. She embraced life, loved to dance and was beloved by family, friends and strangers alike. She was tiny in stature but leaves a huge hole in the lives of everyone she touched. Survived by loving husband of 52 years Ronald Poston, children Stephen Poston (Debbie), Lee Poston and Wendy Shotwell (David), grandchildren Brooke Friend (Joe), Brittany Poston, Blake Poston, Ethan Shotwell, Bailey Shotwell and Christina Shotwell, and great granddaughter Makayla Friend. The family appreciates the tender care of David and Odyssey Hospice during her final weeks. Memorial Services will be conducted 4:00PM Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Pastor Regina Proctor officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation www.cholangiocarcinoma.org and condolences at www.williamsonmemorial.com.
