Mrs. Velma Sites

September 30, 1916 — December 6, 2009

Mrs. Velma Aaron Sites, age 93, passed away Sunday December 6 at home. Born in Livingston County, KY, and grew up in Centralia , IL. She moved to West Palm Beach in 1941 where she and her husband, John, a long-standing employee of the Post Times, raised their family. She was a vital member of First Baptist Church WPB for 65 years and a member of the Seminole Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A lady of remarkable strength and faith, she will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Henry Muck and Carmelia Mae Copeland Muck; and sister, Lucille Watson. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, John Kenneth Sites; daughters Janet Reid and husband Lowell, Margaret Reid and husband Don; grandchildren John Reid, Suzanne Jones and husband Birch, Karen Renfrew and husband Bill, Leigh Ann Swords and husband Jeff; great-grandchildren Bradley, Bailey and Bryant Swords, Cooper Renfrew, Juliana, Holt and Carolina Jones; brother Donald Muck and wife Catherine; and sister Marjorie Underwood. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9 at 11:30 a.m. in the Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home (5239 Main Street, Spring Hill TN 37174) prior to the funeral at 12:30. Burial will then follow at the memorial garden. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Hope for the World Missions Offering at Brentwood Baptist Church, 7777 Concord Rd.
