Mrs. Virginia Celozzi

CELOZZI, Mrs. Virginia "Puggy" I., age 82 of Franklin, TN, January 22, 2013. A native of Milford, MA. She loved sports of all kinds, especially the Boston Red Sox. An accomplished softball player and team manager, she received state recognition for breaking the glass ceiling for women's softball in the state of Massachusetts. Also an avid golfer and bocce ball player. She has spent the past four years in Nashville, TN with her daughter and grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Horace H. Smith & Lillian D. Miller; husband, Joseph M. Celozzi; sons, Joseph K., John & Frank Goodnow. Survived by son, Michael Celozzi of Milford, MA; daughter, Suzanne (Cleland) Ratcliffe of Franklin, TN; sister, Joan (Bob) Duley of New Salem, MA; grandchildren, Chris Ratcliffe, Michelle (Keith) Dowd, Michelle Creasia, John Markman & Lillie Goodnow; six great-grandchildren; beloved pet, Fufu.
