CARTER, Sr. Thomas Russell, age 76 of Franklin, TN passed away May 28, 2010. Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War; Staff Manager for South Central Bell for 30 years. Preceded in death by parents, Jessie Weston & Mamie Elease Griffin Carter; brother, Herman Carter; sisters, Gertrude C. Rowe, Ann Coleman & Barbara C. Robinson. Survived by wife of 54 years, Shirley Raynor Carter; son, Thomas Russell (Elaine) Carter, Jr.; daughter, Laurie Carter (James) Cheatham; brother, Cecil (Irene) Carter & Jessie Weston (Linda) Carter, Jr.; sister, Linda C. Craft; grandson, James Carter Cheatham. Funeral Service will be conducted 1:00PM Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family & Friends will serve as pallbearers.
