YOUNG, Mr. Thomas Marvin, husband, father and friend, lovingly and unselfishly left this earth on Friday, April 9, 2010. Wife, Alice, of Murfreesboro, TN, daughters Denise Thurman (Plainfield, In.) and Terry Young (Ross, OH), sons, Marvin Young II. (Fairview, TN) and Richard Dreier (Charlotte, NC), sisters Angie Bowker (New Johnsonville, TN) and Linda Sue Hurt (Staunton, VA), eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren deeply mourn their loss, but will forever cherish his memory. Marvin's 83-year journey was one of love, laughter, strength and integrity. His personal and professional triumphs were many as a U.S. Coast Guard veteran (WWII), Sanford graduate, pharmacist and careered salesman. His passion for Crimson Tide football was unwavering, his determination incredibly strong, and his faith certain. He was committed to those who knew him, just as we were committed to him. Family and friends will gather at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Franklin, TN, to celebrate the life of this exceptional man. Memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jim Wideman officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Marvin's honor.
