Mr. Van Spaulding, Sr.

SPAULDING, Sr. Van David, age 76 of Franklin, TN, October 12, 2010. Beloved husband, father & grandfather. Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He attended Columbia Military Academy, graduate of Central High School and obtained a B.S. Degree from Peabody College at Vanderbilt. Member of Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church and elder at Hillsboro Presbyterian Church; Involved in committee work, volunteer work and Meals on Wheels. Preceded in death by Boyce & Myrtle Paschall Spaulding. Survived by wife of 53 years, Alice Allen Spaulding; sons, David (Scottie) Spaulding & Collins (Angela) Spaulding; brothers, Jack (Ruth) Spaulding & Joel (Evelyn) Spaulding; grandchildren, Bo, Emmie, David & Mary Alice Spaulding. Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00AM Friday, October 15, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Sally Hughes officiating. Interment, Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bo Spaulding, David Spaulding, Bruce Spaulding, Jack Allen, Josh Petre, Alex Dixon and Phillip Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Chance, John & Trey Duke & Patrick Spaulding. Memorials may be made to Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church.
