Mr. Van Westbrooks

WESTBROOKS, Van Edward, age 75, of Nashville, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 1 peacefully in Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital. Van was born in Perry County, TN on December 23, 1937 and graduated from Perry County High School. He was an entrepreneur and resident of Williamson and Davidson Counties for over forty-five years. He has been the proprietor of I-65 Shell in Franklin, TN, as well as the owner of Franklin-Brentwood Wrecker Service, Cottons Wrecker Service and his most recent venture, Small Town Pain Lotion Company. Van and Karen are currently members of Cornerstone Church in Madison, TN. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen Snoddy Westbrooks of Nashville, TN, and his daughter, Angela Westbrooks DeJarnette and her husband, Tom of San Diego, CA and their two children, Sophia and Jack. His sisters, Opal DePriest and Kay Floied and Kay's husband, Tommy, and many dear nieces and nephews also survive him. Van is also survived by two step-daughters, Cindy Plemons and her children Tayla Finger with husband, Jon and son Tru, David Greer with wife Teri and children, Fletcher, Emerson, Ryder and Riddeck, and Brandy Plemons and her children, Ryder and Mason, as well as Karen's daughter, Lesli Harding and her husband, Jeff and sons, Parker and Austin, and Karen's son, Larry Nesbitt and his wife Joni and their daughters, Reesi and Elye, mother-in-law and father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Leslie C. Snoddy and we cant leave out two beloved cats Harry and Miss. Lindy. Van is preceded in death by his parents, Dan S. and Lockie H. Westbrooks and his sisters, Evelyn Pedigo and Deborah Chipman, his brother, Howard Westbrooks and two nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Interment, DePriest Bend Cemetery following the service.
