Mr. Walter Moore

MOORE, Mr. Walter Clark "Buzz", age 75 of Franklin, TN, July 3, 2010. Born in Holly Springs, MS to the late Chester & Bessie Spencer Moore. A devoted husband and father; an outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing & golf often with his two sons; he was a Christian from the age of 16 when he professed his faith at a Billy Graham Revival; as a young man he played football at Messick High School in Memphis and made The All Memphis/All Tennessee Team in 1951; graduated from Memphis State in 1956 and joined the Air Force to achieve his lifelong dream of being a jet-fighter pilot; a gifted flyer, he piloted supersonic jets and went on to a successful career as a Captain with Delta Air Lines. Survived by wife of 55 years, Evelyn F. Whatley Moore; sons, Stanley Clark (Laurie) Moore & Randall Charles (Cynthia) Moore; brother, Curtis (Delores) Moore; grandchildren, Jessica, Josephine, Christina, Sean & SarahBeth Moore; grand dog, George W. Memorial service will be conducted 2:00PM Monday, July 12, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, James McLemore officiating.
