Mr. William Givens, Sr.

GIVENS, Ret. USMC William Martin, Sr., age 85 of Thompson's Station, TN, May 21, 2011. Retired Chief Warrant Officer II with U.S. Marine Corp with 20 years service. Member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, John & Alma Faye Givens; sister, Virginia Hatcher; brother, John Givens, Jr. and son, Craig Martin Givens. Survived by: wife of 61 years, Greta Givens; son, Billy (Holli) Givens all of Thompson's Station, TN; grandchildren, Leigh Jorgensen, Leslie Hammon, Clarissa Crunk & Chase Givens and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Tom Herring officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers, K.C. Jorgensen, Chase Givens, Lance Hammon, Bill Jorgensen, Ed Lester & Burt Caum. Honorary pallbearers, Dick Minton, Tod Ode, Lester Killebrew, Chuck Worstall, Amos Baugh, Dr. Joe Willoughby and members of Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro United Methodist Church or Wounded Warriors Foundation.
