Murry Heithcock

April 18, 1935 — March 12, 2019

Murry Douglas Heithcock, age 83 of Brentwood TN passed away March 12, 2019. Born in Williamson County and retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard with a career of 42 years of service. In recognition of his many talents, he was among the first two in the State of Tennessee to achieve the rank of W-5, Chief Warrant Officer. After retiring in 1995, he worked at Harpeth Hills golf course for several years. Preceded in death by son, Keith Douglas Heithcock; parents, Noble and Opie Sawyer Heithcock; brothers, Clifton, Melvin and Clayton Heithcock. Survived by: wife of 61 years, Mary Ellen Tomlin Heithcock; son, Troy Davis (Meg) Heithcock; grandchildren, Quinn and Skyler Heithcock; brother, Jimmy Heithcock and sister, Nannie Ruth Polk. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Todd Teller officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be retired friends of the Tennessee Army National Guard. Memorials may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church, 2323-A Old Hickory Blvd. Nashville, TN 37215.
