Naomi Kiern

KIERN, Naomi Helen Morel, age 93 of Franklin, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2011. Preceded in death by her parents Felix Charles Morel and the former Helen Frotscher Bartholomew, both of New Orleans, Louisiana. Naomi was joyously married for 50 years to her husband Theodore "Ted" William Kiern, who passed away September 20, 2004. Naomi and Ted were active members of The Church of The Good Shepherd, Brentwood, Tennessee. She was an elementary teacher and principal in Metairie, Louisiana, for 40 years. She was very active in numerous church, civic, and educational organizations in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. She left behind her only child, Stephen Kiern, married to Margaret Kiern of Franklin, Tennessee; three grandchildren David Kiern (Natalie), Rebecca Kiern, and Elisabeth Meeks (Jonathan); and one sister-in-law Etta Kiern Pedneau, of Houston, Texas. To glorify God and to Honor her memory, a Service of Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 4:00pm at The Church of The Good Shepherd, 1420 Wilson Pike, Brentwood, Tennessee.
