Our beloved mother Pat Lewis is at peace. She is no longer fighting against the pain but resting in the clouds, waiting for someone to bring her a coffee, double espresso no foam. Breaking barriers, before it was a catch phrase, our mom lived her life her way, not by the standards of the times. From insisting on taking math and science that her high school deemed unnecessary for females (at that time), to earning her real estate license and Master's degree while raising two children as a widower. Mom lived life as an adventure. Traveling across the world, taking us camping, driving for hours so that we could go snow skiing, becoming an author, piecing together her own computer, monitoring the market to trade stocks; she believed that she could do anything that she put her mind to. An artist and a musician, many a night we sat by the fireplace listening to her play guitar and sing. She was our Wonder Woman, our own personal hero, who chose us to love and raise as her own, instilling love, humor, compassion and a belief that we can do what we set our minds to no matter any obstacles presented our way. We mourn her passing. However, we are beyond grateful and blessed that she made us a part of her life.
Honoring her wishes we will forego a viewing and will have graveside services at Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin TN, Tuesday January 2nd at 1pm.
