Patrick Michael Brannick, age 61 of Franklin, TN passed away July 30, 2015 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born June 14, 1954 in Freeport, Illinois to Bill and Rita Brannick and graduated from Aquin Catholic High School in 1972.
Patrick moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1978 where he began his career with Marriott Hotels in 1979. He married his first wife, Deborah Johnson in 1980. They had 2 children together, Kellie (Eric Heidelberger) and Michael.
His career with Marriott took him many places where he was able to make connections with people, teach them about his craft, and impart his dedication to high standards. He was a dedicated culinarian and became a Certified Executive Chef in 2000.
It was through his work, he met and married his current wife, Kate in April of 2002. Kate was the true love of his life, known by many as "Shrek and Fiona". Their passion for food and beverage allowed them to work side by side for many years. They retired in 2013 to Franklin, Tennessee.
Patrick was an extremely passionate man, not only about his family, but also friends, food, life, golf, baseball, and his faith. He found any reason to celebrate in his life and celebrate he did. To be a friend to him was to be family, and there could be no greater relationship than that. His connection with people would prove to be a lifelong gift as he kept in contact with many he considered close friends. He loved to share his passions with anyone.
He is survived by his Mother Rita, wife Kate. Daughter Kellie (Eric Heidelberger) and son Michael. Siblings Jim (Sue), Mary Kay (Mike Tapp), Colleen (Jim Guzak), Tim (Wendy) and Eileen (Don Davidson). Grand children Elliott and Riley. Step Grand Children Victoria and Madalyne. Also many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Brannick.
A Catholic mass will be held on August 28, 2015 at 10:30am Holy Family Catholic Church, Rockford, Illinois. Visitation 1 ½ hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up in Patrick's name with proceeds going to Aquin Catholic High School in Freeport, Illinois.
