Phyllis Jean Stanley Fish (1943-2024), of Primm Springs, TN, greeted Jesus her Savior early in the morning of April 17, 2024. Born in Hillsville, VA, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, she received the offer of salvation from Jesus Christ while attending Fremont Church of the Brethren as a young girl. From then on, she never wavered in her commitment to the Lord. She graduated from Radford College in 1964, began her teaching career, and soon married the love of her life Allan Eugene Fish in 1965. She raised her two children to know, love, and serve the Lord, which resulted in two future households with grandchildren who have all placed their faith in the Lord Jesus. Mrs. Fish taught fifth and sixth grade students in many schools including Blackhawk Christian School of Fort Wayne, IN, (1974-1983), Evangelical Christian School of Memphis, TN, (1984-1996), and Central Day School of Memphis, TN (1996-2004). She was a pioneer in Christian school education, and her greatest desire was to see students come to know the Lord and be discipled in Him. She taught many students who continue to share how she impacted their lives for Christ. The Lord also blessed her with grandchildren who adored her. She poured into each and every one of them. She continued to serve the Lord at Grace Christian Academy and Hillsboro Baptist Church even as she drew closer to her heavenly homegoing. She is preceded in death by her father Maston Scott Stanley, mother Eva Belle Stanley O'Quinn, and adopted sister Ethel Flora Sutphin. She is survived by her loving, "til' death do us part" husband Allan Eugene Fish; her son Timothy Lloyd Fish (daughter-in-law Cassandra Payne Fish) and daughter Sara Leigh Campbell (son-in-law Levi Ross Campbell, III); her grandchildren Mary Erin Cosby (Mason Harmon Cosby), Caleb Stanley Fish, Annika Leigh Scott (Jonathan Roderick Scott), Anna Blair Attree (Aaron John Edward Attree), Charity Esther Williams (Christopher Martin Williams), Leah Kathryn Fish, Ruth May Fish, Eva Kathleen Campbell, Josiah James Allan Fish, Benaiah Ross Campbell, Lydia Leigh Fish, Jeshua Levi Nsimba Fish, Jedidiah Lloyd Nzuzi Fish, Mary Quinn Molina Fish; great-granddaughter (and namesake) Sara Jean Cosby; sister Martha Leigh Banks; and brother Larry Scott Stanley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to one of two Christian schools, as her desire for decades was to see Christian schools grow and thrive:
